Kettlebaston

The Sign
The village sign resembles a pub sign hanging from an old telegraph pole in somebodies garden.
However the sceptres are significant at the Coronation of Kings and Queens since Henry VI; a gold sceptre for the coronations of kings and an ivory one for the queens. The sign is opposite the church and was erected in 1937 to commemorate the Coronation of George VI.

The Name and Population
The population was just over 30 persons at the 2011 census. The village was called Kitelbeomastuna in 1086. The name means "Ketilbjorn's farm/settlement" from Old Norse and Old English.

Other Points of Interest
The church is dedicated to St Mary.
